And there was much rejoicing!
John DiMagio is back baby, voicing bender yet again. Now that they have the voice cast, I sure hope they’ve gotten the old writing team back together. Without good writers, a voice cast means nothing.
One of the most beautiful plays in the game of Go
Six years ago, Google’s AlphaGo was playing Lee Sedol, one of the top players of Go in the world. The 37th move was so surprising to Sedol that he left the room. Fan Hui thought the move was odd, but after seeing the result, he described the move as “beautiful”.
The documentary covering the historical games of Go with AlphaGo is now available on YouTube.
Haters gotta hate
I haven’t play Elden Ring, and this comment thread isn’t even about the game. An enterprising soul decided to play Elden Ring on a CRT monitor. There are quite a few gamers who like playing on CRTs mainly due to the absence of lag. However, in this case, a person took offense to playing a game that came out in 2022 on a CRT.
Blown away with Spirited Away
Western cinema can be viewed as kind of bland, mostly because of the shared culture of expectations when it comes to a movie. When I saw Spirited Away in the theater for the first time, I was blown away. How can a movie be so heartwarming yet so scary at the same time. It is an amazing experience, and I implore anyone that hasn’t seen it to get their butts to the theater and see it in all its glory.
However, if you happen to be in Japan, there is a stage production of Spirited Away and the photos look absolutely amazing. I would love to get a chance to watch this, so here’s hoping something happens in the US because it doesn’t look like I’m making it to Japan anytime soon.
